I've always thought of lilies as sort of a "starting over" flower. They emerge in the the spring and bloom and rebloom seemingly over and over. Especially white lilies, so pure and fresh. They are the Easter flower as they stand for Mary's purity and loyalty and are a symbol of the resurrection. Knowing these odd facts are pretty much a moot point though because at the end of the day, they are beautiful and happy and hopefully make a good housewarming gift. For Cindy, for starting over.
